dangerhouse

...dangerhouse records from the late seventies california landscape must be seen as the perfect all encompassing rocking label with such hepsters as pogo hopefuls the alleycats/drugged out party zombie black randy/commie punx the dils/art damaged louts the deadbeats and others all putting out top class 7inch wax in a matter of a few months and then the whole shebang was over, the label shut up shop and proceeded to take its rightful place in rock'n'roll history...from heavy hitters the weirdos to long-haulers X, from hippy hangover howard werth to haight street punx the avengers plus the bags/rhino39/randoms and the eyes, every tune has something to recommend it, even today, over 30 years later most of this sounds as fresh as it ever did with only a couple not quite hitting the mark though this is subjective with only green-haze science to back it up...dig the frisco and LA scenes when they were just kicking off(77/8) before the cubes who invade any scene had written too many rules and spoiled the groove with square 'do's and donts'...step back with these two marvo comps that serve the combos well though when all said and done a box set with everything ever laid down at the dangerhouse laboratories should be available right NOW...
...get it now...
