Hi SS~

Just wanted to agree whole-heartedly about this crazy/awesome record. It's the biker-fuzz Shangri-Las playing a druggy gig at the Church of Satan. Powerful stuff. I'm a huge fan. I hope you melt a lotta brains with this one!

I bought this LP back in '69 or '70 after I heard Motor Cycle Michael on the radio. Still have my copy but haven't played it in years. Nice to see that you have brought it back for others to enjoy as well.

any chance of her second, self-titled LP from the early '70s? Very hard to find!

Thanks for this cool visual montage of Lotti Golden! I love the Lotti Golden LP “Motor-Cycle”—and it is not an overstatement. Golden’s work represents the best of its era--she was a true revolutionary, changing the way we listen to music. "Motor-Cycle" is as much about the lyrics and the incredible story she tells (about her life in NYC's East Village) as it is about the music. In fact, Golden uses genres from R&B, to rock, funk and blues to punctuate the action and to change the mood, from plaintive to satiric. "Motor-Cycle" plays like a movie--you can see it in your head, and once you’ve heard it, you can’t get it out of your head. I’m happy that the Internet is giving Golden the chance she deserves to be heard—but Atlantic should reissue the LP on CD.
