...cats hep to gettin' down with some free spirit jazzbo grooves but need somethin' a little lighter than some o' th' scrunchin' skrunky skronk that comes from th' avant cellar could do no worse than lend a lobe to this '64 outin' from one o' th' masters o' post bop cosmic splatter...not so heavy'n taxin' as some, this is a good primer for neophytes aswell as a great listen for th' more seasoned'n hardy jazz head...dig th' noise gearin' up to what would get cuboid critics in a slashin' whirly lather o' know-nothin'ess until th'whole shebang blew itself out in a freeform frenzy in th' early 70's...as usual with a lot o' these free blowin' cats th'remnants o' earlier jazzin' vibes (such as new orleans funeral marches etc.) can be detected here 'n there, addin' th' old to rebuild'n remodel for th'new...
